Weekly recordings and handouts here.

Bill Tully has created a new course
that starts with the great and basic questions of life and works toward the content and practices of Christianity, not the other way around. Consider taking this course if:

  • You’ve been meaning to inquire or take a refresher course in the faith

  • You want to affiliate with the church, or join formally, only after some serious reflection

  • You’re tired of making up how to live as you live—and would like to step back and ask what it’s all about

  • You’re ready for the formal step of confirmation, being received from another denomination, or affirming your earlier baptism/confirmation (this course replaces the “Confirmation Class” Bill has offered in Lent in recent years)

Those taking the course who would like to work with others on these questions can also choose to meet in a small group over four weeks, at times and places of mutual choosing. Those groups will form at the end of Session 1 on Sunday, Feb. 21. Weekly readings and audio streams of the course will be available online.

For preliminary signup, further information or questions, email St. Bart’s Central: central@stbarts.org or 212-378-0222. (Sign-up is useful; you’ll get a info sheet before the course begins. Or you can simply choose to come to the first session and sign up there.)

Recorded sessions:
• February 21: Session 1
• February 28: Session 2
• March 7: Session 3
• March 14: Session 4
• March 21: Session 5

  • This year’s Confirmation Service is Sunday, April 18, at the 11 am service with the Bishop of New York.

  • Adults who would like to take this step should attend the Life 101 course (see above) and connect with one of the parish clergy.

  • Youth 14 years or older who are interested in confirmation should email Julie Ross.
