If you’re looking to interact with some of the brightest students that this city has to offer and have an impact on their lives, look no further! Oliver Scholars is an educational access organization that prepares high-achieving Black and Latino students from under-served NYC communities for success at top independent schools and prestigious colleges. Founded in 1984, their free program provides ongoing support before, during, and after placement into an independent school. The comprehensive, multi-year curriculum is comprised of academic enrichment, real-world learning opportunities, leadership skills development, and a focus on community service. With over 1200 nominations for the 2017-2018 admissions cycle, Oliver Scholars continues to attract the top academically gifted students. Over the next few weeks, Oliver Scholars will begin the extraordinary process of identifying 140 students from their talented applicant pool for in-person interviews, and will ultimately select 80 students for the incoming class of rising 8th graders. To do this, they need your help! On April 21st and April 22nd, 140 applicants and their families will participate in Interview Weekend. During Interview Weekend, Oliver Scholars invites you to assist in greeting families, interviewing students, and/or assisting with logistical tasks. If you are available to assist them in the morning, afternoon, entire day, or all weekend, they welcome your time. Please register no later than Wednesday, April 18th with your time preference. We look forward to seeing you on April 21st and/or 22nd, and are grateful for any time you are willing to give!

**Please specify the shift you prefer in the Comments section of the RSVP form.
