SUMMER AT ST. BART'S 2017

June 5 - August 18

Summer at St. Bart's offers something for everyone ages 3 to 13. Swim every day for ages 3 to 13 in our full-sized pool with certified lifeguards and swim instructors. Soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey, volleyball and track and field played throughout the summer in our 2600 sq. ft. gym. Other daily activities are dance and movement, art, drama and science. Jr. Adventure, and Adventure Camp also available. Come for one week or for all!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Swimming: Children ages 3 to 13 participate in our instructional swim program five days a week. Each 40-minute lesson includes a period of free swim. For younger children, the swim staff utilizes “tot dock”, while older, more experienced swimmers utilize the deep end. Certified Lifeguards and Swim Instructors are always present and led by an Aquatics Director.  Our swim staff is specialized in working with children of all ages and levels.

Sports: Daily sports instruction is offered in our 2600 square foot gym. Soccer, baseball, basketball, hockey, volleyball, track and field, and relay races will be the sports played throughout the summer. Emphasis is on fitness and the development of skills as well as teaching sportsmanship through daily drills and games.

Dance and Movement: In our dance studio, campers will have the opportunity to learn many styles of movement including hip-hop, jazz, tap, yoga, and musical drama. 

Arts and Crafts: Arts and Craft activities are part of the daily curriculum and based on our theme of the week.

Drama: Offered to all ages, Drama it is a good way for campers to express themselves in a fun, creative environment. A summer performance to be scheduled.

Science: A science component is included in most weeks!

Weekly Themes: Each week has a new theme! Special events accompany most weeks.

Not every child wants the same kind of camp, and we want happy campers! That’s why St. Bart’s is offering different options that include swim every day. Each camp caters to a different age and a different kind of child. 

CHEEKY CHICKS 
 3.5 – 3.11 years old • June 5th - August 18th   (11 weeks)

This group offers 3 year old children a shorter day yet a full camp experience from 9am to 12:15pm. The Cheeky Chicks program includes instructional swim, sports, dance and movement, arts and crafts, and rooftop play. A mid-morning snack will be provided. A lunch period is not included in Cheeky Chicks.

*This is a full week program - reduced rates are not available to those who wish to attend less than the full week. 

KOOKY KRABS
4 - 4.11 years old • June 5th - August 18th  (11 weeks)

This group offers 4 year old children a half-day program from 9am to 12:30pm. Daily activities include instructional swim, sports, dance and movement, arts and crafts, and rooftop play. A mid-morning snack will be provided. A lunch period is not included in Kooky Krabs.

GAGA GUPPIES
4 - 4.11 years old • June 5th - August 18th   (11 weeks)

This group offers 4 year old children a full day program from 9am to 3pm. Daily activities include instructional swim, sports, dance and movement, arts and crafts, and rooftop play. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are provided. Campers need to bring their own nut-free lunch.

DASHING DOLPHINS
5 - 5.11 years old • June 5th - August 18th   (11 weeks)

This camp offers 5 year old children a full day program from 9am to 3pm. Daily activities include instructional swim, sports, dance and movement, arts and crafts, and rooftop play. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are provided. Campers need to bring their own nut-free lunch.

FUNKY FLAMINGOS
5 - 6.11 years old • June 5th - August 18th   (11 weeks)

This camp offers 5 and 6 year old children a full day program from 9am to 3pm. Daily activities include instructional swim, sports, dance and movement, arts and crafts, and rooftop play. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are provided. Campers need to bring their own nut-free lunch.

JUNIOR ADVENTURERS
6 - 7 years old • June 26th - August 18th   (8 weeks)

Camp is more fun with a little adventure! Twice a week, campers will explore an educational or recreational site around the city. Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for trips to places like the NY Hall of Science, a Yankees Game, the Circle Line Shark boat ride, the Intrepid, etc. Walking and public transportation will be utilized whenever possible and a private bus service will be used for extended trips.  On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the campers will be engulfed in activities such as comic book writing, collages, necklace/jewelry making, and other various art activities. Campers will participate in dance and drama, sports, arts and crafts, and swimming. A game room provides plenty of entertainment like ping - pong, knock hockey, foosball, board games, etc. Campers need to bring their own nut-free lunch.

ADVENTURE CAMP
8- 13 years old • June 26th - August 18th   (8 weeks)

Camp is more fun with a little adventure! Twice a week, campers will explore an educational or recreational site around the city. **For children ages 6-13, the week of June 26 - 30  will be a pre-season week before Junior Adventurers and Adventure Camp officially begin their trips. This pre-season week will include all of the regular on-site activities, minus the field trips.

If you are a RETURNING camp family, please use the same login information from last season. If you can't remember your login from last season, please email us  at and we can provide that information to you. 

If you are a NEW camp family, during the registration process you will be asked to use your email for your login. PLEASE keep your login information for future use. 

During checkout you may be asked if you are interested in signing up for an Active Advantage Membership. Although Active.com is a reputable site for races and sports events, it is not a Summer at St. Bart's related program and signing up is not necessary.

Once you have registered your child for camp, you may re-enter the system using your login to check your balance, make a payment, or print an invoice. If you would like to make any changes after you have finished registration, please contact the camp office. If you attempt to re-register in order to make these changes, the system may double charge you. 

Each registration is subject to a nonrefundable $50 registration fee. No camp refunds will be processed after May 1st. The nonrefundable $550 deposit payment required at checkout includes the $50 registration fee and the first $500 towards your selected camp week fees.
