Luke-Acts as Sweeping Epic: Jesus’ Ministry and the Early Church
Many churchgoers are not aware that both the Gospel according to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles were written by the same author, who likely intended them to be read together. Our Rector, the Right Reverend Dean Wolfe, highlights the interrelationship between the two texts and helps us see how each informs the other. Why would Luke decide to tell the story of Jesus’ life and the story of the early Church together? How did the early Church carry on Jesus’ ministry and how did the early Church diverge from it?
