Twelfth Night Frolic 2024: St. Bartholomew’s Choristers at The Lotos Club

by Alexander Pattavina on January 19, 2024

Each year, St. Bartholomew’s Choristers are invited to participate in the Twelfth Night Frolic at The Lotos Club. The choristers’ angelic voices led the partygoers in the singing of familiar Christmas favorites: everything from Angels we have heard on high to Silver Bells. It's a real treat for our kids to perform at this event each year, and this year’s outing was an enormous success. Our voices blended beautifully and led the caroling confidently, elegantly, and professionally.

It's not every day that the choristers get to appear alongside bagpipers, a jester, and a pig – what a fun start to 2024!

If your child would like to learn to sing and take part in unique events like this, please write to the Director of St. Bartholomew’s Choristers, Alexander Pattavina ( ).

After warming up, the choristers posed for a photo op - one of many that evening.

Sound check! Performing in a different space requires extra practice, concentration, and spatial awareness.

Minutes before performing, we took a brief moment for a behind-the-scenes photo before going onstage.

A group photo (taken by chorister parent, Cindy Busuttall) shows our ensemble joined by a colorful cast of characters: a jester, bagpipers, hog-bearers, and, of course, the roast pig.
