Thursdays, February 27–April 2, 6:30-8 pm, via Zoom
Throughout the centuries, a multitude of composers have created musical settings of the events that lead up to Jesus’ death. These settings, called Passions, typically derive from the Biblical text but make a variety of interpretive choices that illuminate different aspects of the story. Over six Thursdays in Lent, join the clergy to explore six Passions and their contrasting but complementary perspectives on what Jesus’ death really means.

This week's session looks at musical settings of the Passion written in the last few decades, with a particular focus on Gabriel Jackson's The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, Osvaldo Golijov's Pasion Segun San Marcos, and Tan Dun's Water Passion after St. Matthew

St. Bart's is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
