Centering Prayer

March 23, 2020 7:00pm

According to Dr. Andrew Newberg, a neuroscientist at the University of Pennsylvania, two months’ practice in meditation can lead “to a systematic change in both the brain as well as the immune system in more positive directions.” Come learn the ancient Christian contemplative practice of Centering Prayer. Cultivate calm and better focus, and happily increase in the knowledge that you are loved and cherished by God.

Led by parishioner Kathleen Breiten, this ancient method of prayer can deepen your experience of God, offer the opportunity for renewal, and help you stay more peaceful. Sessions include instruction and practice time, so are open to beginners as well as experienced practitioners.  To join our email list to receive updates on centering prayer, contact Manny Rodriguez-Leach. Centering prayer meets weekly Wednesdays at 5 pm, and Fridays at 9 am.

All are invited to join by Zoom Meeting
