Dear Friends,
Holy Week magnified St. Bart’s role as a place of pilgrimage for people from across New York, the nation, and the world to gather in the beauty of holiness and encounter the living God. At Easter more than 1,500 worshippers of every stripe and type joined us to celebrate the Feast of Feasts on Saturday night and Sunday.
Whoever you are, whatever your story, I want to invite you to our second annual Pilgrims and Pathfinders Retreat on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
On Friday night we will enjoy a social hour and evening prayer, and Saturday will offer a day of learning, fellowship, and prayer on campus. Tours of the church and Crossroads Community Services will be offered, together with parishioner panels, lunch, Eucharist, and time with our clergy. Think of it as a “come and see” weekend—something akin to a college visit!
That Sunday, April 28, we will have our annual Bishop’s Visitation with The Right Reverend Alan Shin of the Diocese of New York, with an opportunity for Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation in the Episcopal Church.
Whether you are a seasoned parishioner or a newcomer, attend regularly or occasionally, are always in-person or mostly online, this retreat is for you. You are warmly welcome and invited. This is your chance to be a St. Bart’s pilgrim! Come meet and make some new friends, enjoy a time of spiritual renewal, and be a part of the amazing thing God is doing at St. Bart’s.
