Surveying the Spiritual Life

Jay Sidebotham, our beloved first Vicar, reported on work done in his parish, Holy Spirit, Lake Forest, Ill., looking at the connection of an individual’s spiritual life and the health of the congregation. The parish did a survey, and some workshops followed up. The survey indicated they had lots of room to grow (Jay’s translation: “We didn’t get a very good grade, and we are a congregation that likes to get good grades”). At the June 19th Rector's Forum, he shared some of the things they’re doing in response.
