Following the moving response to our Listening Space, we would like to share two upcoming opportunities for prayer for peace in Israel/Gaza led by Episcopal parishes in the Diocese:
Prayer Service for Peace
Saturday, June 8th at 11:30 am, Church of the Ascension, 12 W. 11th Street
The Church of the Ascension will host an ecumenical service of prayer for peace in the Holy Land at 11:30 am. The preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac, pastor of the Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, joining remotely.
Prayer Pilgrimage with St. Peter’s Chelsea
Saturday, June 15 from 9 am to 12 pm, 59th Street/Broadway
St. Peter’s Chelsea is leading a prayer pilgrimage from 59th St. Columbus Circle to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine to call for peace and raise funds for the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza run by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.
