Burning of the Palms

All children in kindergarten through fifth grade and their families are especially invited to the 9:00 a.m. worship service on February 27, when we will gather in the Cloister Garden for a special "Burning of the Palms" ceremony to mark the final Sunday before Ash Wednesday and Lent, the 40-day season of fasting and preparation for Easter. Palm branches from Palm Sunday 2021 will be burned to create the ashes for Ash Wednesday.
Afterwards, StoryMakers at-home kits will be distributed to families for the season of Lent. StoryMakers is a new program for kids to grow spiritually and connect with their families through visuals, drama, and the stories of the Bible.
