Bold in Asking, Joyful in Sharing

by Kari Parks on October 13, 2022

Beloved,

There are over 150 Episcopal congregations in New York City, yet we choose to spend time with St. Bart's. Why?

Is it the friendly faces at services, coffee hour, and on Zoom? Is it the stellar music spanning from the Middle Ages to 21st century masters? Is it the beautiful building, a Midtown oasis for millions of workers, tourists, and neighbors? Is it the thought-provoking preaching and robust classes for children and adults? Is it something you just can't pin down? Is this a place where you grow with God?

No matter why you step or click into St. Bart's, we're so glad you're with us. And to be a community that strives to be "on earth as it is in heaven"—to care for all living creatures, to educate and inspire, to comfort people seeking solace and celebrate life's milestones—we need your help!

So as we approach Advent, we ask you, Beloved, to set your 2023 financial pledge: to consider how you want to help St. Bart's pay for all its earthly good works, and to help St. Bart's plan and budget for 2023 and beyond.

It doesn't matter if you write one check for the year, drop cash into the collection plate, or, like, me, set monthly auto-payments from your credit card; what matters is that you considered and set your intention to give to this community. In doing so, you help St. Bart's keep radically welcoming everyone who finds us.

Thank you so much for setting your pledge this season. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, or even just to chat!

Kari
