Thank you to everyone who gathered with us last night, both in our sanctuary and joining virtually, for an interfaith prayer service in response to the violence that occurred at 345 Park Avenue last Monday.
We were deeply moved by the presence of our Midtown neighbors and the words of comfort, guidance, and prayer shared by faith and community leaders from across Midtown.
Thanks to leaders from Central Synagogue, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Saint Peter's Church for sharing in the organization of this service and to leaders from Church of our Saviour, Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas Church, Sutton Place Synagogue, The New York City Mayor’s Office of Faith-based and Community Partnerships, and The New York State Office of Faith and Non-profit Development Services, as well as State Senator Liz Krueger, City Council Member Keith Powers for their presence and support.
The bonds we strengthen in moments like these remind us that we are never alone.
