Check out what’s happening this Sunday

Lent is a season of prayer, fasting, and reflection as we journey with Jesus towards the cross. Just as Jesus spent forty days in the wilderness, we spend forty days wrestling with the wilderness of our hearts: our temptations, our longings, our callings, our unraveling certainties, and our faithful doubts.

The ashes of Ash Wednesday remind us of our mortality: We are dust and to dust we shall return. How will we make the most of the time we have been given? With opportunities for worship and learning together, we invite you to take your place at the table as we set our hearts and minds on the things that really matter for life.

Lent Begins Ash Wednesday, February 18

Brief, ongoing imposition of ashes will be available on the church steps from 7 am to 6 pm.

One-hour, in-person services will be offered at 8 am, 12:05 pm, and 6 pm.

The 6 pm service will be available via live stream here, on Facebook and YouTube.

Ash Wednesday Community Questions Wall

St. Bart’s is a community that values questions.

We believe faith is enriched—not threatened—by honest questions and courageous wrestling with life in all its difficulty and complexity.
As we begin the season of Lent—a season of contemplation and self-reflection—we invite you to share a question that is on your mind or heart.
Today we’re sharing ashes, not answers, as we sit with the mystery, grief, wonder, and joy of being human — together.

Volunteers are needed. Please contact The Reverend Zack Nyein, Senior Associate Rector, at , if you are interested in helping.
