Welcoming Newcomers December 4, 2022
Dec 7, 2022 | by Bailey Regan
The following individuals were fully welcomed into the life of St. Bart's during Welcome Sunday on December 4, 2022. We invite you to send them messages of congratulations.
William Caudill
I was born in Corning, Missouri but grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I was a member of St. Marks. I work for Club Monaco on 5th Avenue and love how welcoming St. Barts has been.
Nick Cunningham
I was born in Southern California and was first introduced to the Episcopal church in my elementary and middle schools. My wife, Lauren, and I moved to New York City in 2010. We currently live in Manhattan on the Upper East Side with our 12 year old cat, Smalls. I look forward to getting to know other members of St. Bart's!
Allie Dorn
Hi I’m Allie Dorn. I moved here from Texas for grad school about a year ago. I have since graduated from Fordham and just started as a cybersecurity consultant with Ernst & Young. I’m so excited to have found my church family with St. Bart’s.
Natalie Johnson
My husband and I moved back to the city (Midtown East) in 2020 after living in Westchester County for 35 years, raising our 3 children there; the last 20 years in Chappaqua, NY. We lived here in the 1980s and are happy to be back to enjoy all the culture that NYC has to offer. Our children are grown and we have 2 grandchildren (so far). I love St. Bart’s for its inclusive, welcoming spirit.
Licelot Eralte Mercer
I was raised in NYC and was brought up as an Episcopalian. After spending many years working abroad, I returned to the city and was in search of a new spiritual home. I learned of St. Bart's through its online programming during the early days of the pandemic. My first impression was that it had an inviting and active community. From the first day, I have been graciously welcomed into this vibrant congregation. I am looking forward to growing spiritually and forging lifelong friendships at St. Bart’s.
The Newnes Family
We are the Newnes family - Tess, Paul, Miranda (Andie) and Chloe. Chloe is a native New Yorker, and the rest of us are originally from Australia. Paul was a cradle Catholic, we were married in an Anglican church and then attended Baptist churches for many years, until we found St Bart's online during the pandemic.

Barbara Rose
I recently retired from a 40-year legal assistant career and am finally enjoying my freedom! I love visiting art museums, reading historical and mystery fiction, knitting and crocheting, cooking, and walking.
Melvin Thomas
I am an ecumenical Christian Catholic so I believe in the unification of all Christian churches and denominations as we all believe Jesus Christ died for our sins and for all humankind as the Messiah.
Michael Waterson
I began attending St. Bart's in January when we moved here for Zack to start his position as Senior Associate Rector. I've enjoyed getting to know folks here in the parish and serving as an usher and lector and becoming a member of the Garden Guild and 20s and 30s group.
Andrew Wolf
Andrew Wolf is from Briarcliff Manor, NY. He's a graduate of Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy and Boston College. He's worked on Capitol Hill (at the Congressional Research Service and in the House of Representatives), as a Researcher for Senator Mark Warner and the journalist Bill Moyers, and for State Senator Alessandra Biaggi. He enjoys volunteering at SPCA Westchester.

Emily Gan
Hi! I’m Emily and I’m from NYC and I’ve also lived in CA. Currently, I reside on the island with my ginger cat, Aslan. I was recently baptized and I’m hoping to grow more spiritually and make lasting connections with others here at St. Bart’s!
