Welcome Sunday
December 8, 2024 8:00am
Anyone new or relatively new to St. Bart's in the past couple years who would like to officially make it their spiritual home in the city, is invited to participate in Welcome Sunday on December 8. This is your chance to come forward to be formally blessed by the clergy and recognized by the congregation as a part of our community.
This will occur at every service (8 am, 9 am, 11 am, and 5 pm) — feel free to sign up for whichever you normally attend. After the 11 am service, there will also be a coffee hour reception with refreshments and a meet-and-greet time with the wider congregation.
Sign up for Welcome Sunday here, by December 3 order to be included in the worship leaflet.

What is required?
Anyone who has started attending or visiting in the last few years and has never participated in Welcome Sunday is eligible.
I didn't attend complete a newcomers class, such as Explore or Pathfinders. Can I still participate?
Absolutely. Welcome Sunday is for all newcomers, whether or not you have taken or completed a class.
What about family members?
Children and spouses are welcome but not required to participate in Welcome Sunday with you.
What about baptism?
While baptism marks one's entrance into the Body of Christ, you do not have to be a baptized Christian or Episcopalian to participate in Welcome Sunday at St. Bart's. All that's required is that you consider St. Bart's to be a spiritual home and are ready to recognize it as such.
