Film professor and St. Bart's parishioner Anthony Perrotto hosts a bimonthly film series November 21 and December 5, with an introduction, important insights, and commentary for each screening, all with LGBTQ+ themes.

THE NORMAL HEART ; Emmy winner; Staring Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Julia Roberts. This remains one of the most searing and essential portrayals of the early HIV/AIDS crisis in New York City. Larry Kramer’s autobiographical play, captures both the fury & the heartbreak of a community fighting , while its members were dying. Confronting the political silence and the tragic inaction of Mayor Ed Koch, whose closeted life contributed to his paralysis as the epidemic exploded. Decades later, The Normal Heart still demands accountability, compassion, and remembrance.
