Pop-Up Immigration Legal Clinic

Volunteers and Support Needed

St. Bart’s Migrant Welcome Committee is partnering with the Diocese of New York, El Barrio Angels, and NYLAG to host a pop-up clinic helping asylum seekers apply for work authorization, now subject to a new $560 federal fee. We are seeking volunteers fluent in Spanish and/or French to serve as translators, as well as donors to help make this clinic possible.

In partnership with the Diocese of New York, El Barrio Angels at St. Edward the Martyr, and the New York Legal Assistance Group, we are raising funds and gathering volunteers and interpreters to make this clinic possible.

How you can help

• Volunteer for a four-hour shift assisting applicants under legal supervision.
• Serve as an interpreter in any language.
• Donate toward an employment authorization fee at this link (choose “St. Bart’s NYC Pop-Up Immigration Legal Clinic” under “designate funds toward a project” on the second page).
