The Crucifixion of Jesus: Twenty-First Century Perspectives
Tuesdays, March 8-March 22, 7:00-8:15 pm
Mary Boys, Skinner & McAlpin Professor of Theology at Union Theological Seminary, and the Reverend Meredith Ward join together to lead a three-week discussion of the Crucifixion. Through scripture and visual imagery, the two facilitators examine how Crucifixion was used as a tool of terror by the Roman Empire, how later representations of the Crucifixion incriminated Jews in the death of Jesus, and how Christians might repair and reorient our vision of the Crucifixion for our own time. All are welcome to join via Zoom meeting
