March to End Fossil Fuels

September 17, 2023 1:00pm

On Sunday, September 17th, GreenFaith is organizing people of faith to join the March to End Fossil Fuels, calling on world leaders to stop new fossil fuel development. The March will take place days before the UN Climate Ambition Summit hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who has announced that the ‘ticket to entry’ for world leaders is commitment to ending fossil fuel expansion. The March, which is 1.5 miles long, will begin at 1 pm at 53rd and Broadway, pass near St. Bart's on 52nd street, and end at the UN. RSVP here.

St. Bart's parishioners are encouraged to participate in the March by joining at the start of the March at 53rd and Broadway at 1 pm, or hop in when the group heads along 52nd Street to the United Nations (approximately 1:30 pm). As people of faith and conscience, our values call us into action to protect our communities and all of Life by ending the era of fossil fuels. For more information on how you or your group can participate, please contact Teagan Sage.
